Effect of Varying Levels of Herbicides against Parthenium hysterophorus L. and Other Associated Weeds Arya M. P. S., Singh R. V. Department of Agronomy, G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Hill Campus, Ranichauri-249 199, Tehri Garhwal (D. P.), India. Abstract Spray of glyphosate, 2, 4-D Na salt and metsulfuron methyl was quite effective against the control of Parthenium hysterophorus. G1yphosate at 0.5 to 1.0%, 2,4-D Na salt at 0.375 and metsulfuron methyl at 0.01% solution gave the 100% control of this weed. 2,4-D at 0.25 and metsulfuron methyl at 0.0025% solution were also quite effective with 93.4 and 95.5% weed control efficiency. The control of P. hysterophorus in pastures and grasslands, may, however, be best made with the spray of either 2,4-D at 0.25 or metsulfuton methyl at 0.005% solution. Top | |
