Potency of Anilofos and Butachlor Applied Alone or in Combination with 2, 4-D against Barn Yard Grass (Echinochloa crusgalli (L.) Beauv) Malik R. K., Singh Samunder Department of Agronomy, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar-125 004, India. Abstract The tank mixture of anilofos with 2, 4-D Sod, in the ratio of 1: 1 and butachlor with 2, 4-D in the ratio 1: 0.6 were evaluated against barn yard grass during the rainy seasons of 1989 and 1990 at CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. The per cent control, plant height and dry weight of barn yard grass at normal field use rates anilofos at 0.40 kg/ha, butachlor at 1.60 kg/ha, anilofos+2, 4-D at 0.40+0.40 or butachlor+2, 4-D at 1.0+0.6 kg/ha were similar. The dose response curve and toxicity index of butachlor+2, 4-D or anilofos+2, 4-D indicated that CR 50 levels in the combination treatments based on 2, 4-D converted values to anilofos or butachlor were less than their sole treatments, with co-toxicity index of 100 and 120, respectively.
