Effect of Temperature on the Persistence of Tribenuron-methyl in Soil PoDia S. S., Hooda R. S., Malik R. K. Department of Agronomy, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar-125 004, India. Abstract To study the persistence of tribenuron-methyl in a sandy loam soil incubated for different periods at l5, 25 and 35°C, bioassay studies using moongbean as test plant were conducted in the screen house at CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar during 1992–93. Results revealed that the effect of tribenuron-methyl on the phytotoxicity to moongbean was a function of incubation period and the concentration gradient of herbicide. The reduction in growth due to tribenuron in soil medium was more evident upto 30 days of incubation periods. The half-lives of tribenuron-methyl calculated on the basis of probit analysis were 17, 24 and 34 days at 35, 25 and 15°C, respectively. Top | |
